City Care Ltd

PRONTO user since 1999, 48 users   City Care Ltd is a Local Authority Trading Enterprise (LATE), and is owned by the Christchurch City Council. The LATE was set up in late 1999 to combine the Council's Works Operations, two thirds of the mobile plant fleet, and all its Mechanical Services. The Council employs 2,000 staff, and in terms of IT, is in the top 50 organisations in New Zealand.   PRONTO was chosen because of its ability to process many different applications needed by City Care - Plant hire, plant maintenance, rental contracts, plant purchases and disposals, spare parts control, job costing, recording of accidents, inventory recording at multiple locations, and integrated accounting.   Velocity Global personnel were responsible for the implementation of PRONTO into the LATE, and the project met both the budget and completion date targets.
